RATO-S Coupling
The highly-flexible RATO-S coupling, with segmented elements, features easy assembly and disassembly in the shortest possible installation length.

Torque:




12.5 kNm to 800 kNm
Applications:
  • Rigidly and A/V-mounted engines
  • Ship's main and secondary engines
  • Generators and PTOs










RATO-R Coupling
The RATO-R is designed for high speeds and/or high power density. It offers high levels of torsional flexibility and misalignment capacity.

Torque:




2.5 kNm to 270 kNm
Applications:
  • Rigidly and A/V-mounted engines
  • Ship's main propulsion and auxillary drive
  • Generators and PTOs











RATO-DS Coupling
RATO-DS is compact and weight efficient coupling that offers a high levels of torsional flexibility and medium levels of misalignment capacity.

Torque:




6.3 kNm to 100 kNm
Applications:
  • Ship's main propulsion and auxilliary drives










VULASTIK-L Coupling
Torsionally flexible rubber coupling, that compensates axial, angular and to a certain degree, radial displacements of the connected machines. Four rubber qualities and silicone are available in order to tune the coupling to the various system requirements.

Torque:




0.40 kNm to 25.0 kNm
Applications:
  • Bellhousings on gearboxes or gensets











VULKARDAN-E Coupling (feestanding)
The highly-flexible VULKARDAN-E freestanding coupling is used to connect flexibly/ rigidly mounted engines with gearboxes or another machinery. It completes the RATO coupling in the lower torque range.

Torque:




2.5 kNm to 20.0 kNm
Applications:
  • Freestanding for A/V mounted engines











VULKARDAN-E Coupling (bellhousing installation)
The highly-flexible VULKARDAN-E coupling is used to tune the torsional response of the system. It is a coupling with "slip-on" feature and therefore is used mainly in bell-housing installations.

Torque:




0.16 kNm to 5.0 kNm
Applications:
  • Bellhousing installations










TORFLEX-Coupling
The TORFLEX multi-stage coupling with progressive stiffness characteristics is exclusively intended for installation in bellhousings.

Torque:




0.25 kNm to 1.6 kNm
Applications:
  • Bellhousing installations
  • For engines with flange-connected gearboxes










Integral Shaft Support

This design will be fitted in installations where the cardan shaft has a large angle of inclination.

Torque:




0.16 kNm to 25 kNm
Applications:
  • A/V-mounted engines
  • Cardan shaft with large angular deflections









VULKARDAN-L Coupling
Highly-flexible Coupling specifically developed for application in conjunction with cardan shafts and without torsional limit device.

Torque:




0.16 kNm to 12.50 kNm
Applications:
  • A/V Mounted Engines
  • Cardan shaft drives










VULKARDAN-P Coupling
Highly-flexible Coupling specifically developed for application in conjunction with cardan shafts. All VULKARDAN-P couplings have a torsional limit device.

0.32 kNm to 31.5 kNm

  • A/V Mounted Engines
  • Cardan shaft drives










PROPFLEX N Coupling
PROPFLEX N Coupling is designed to be installed on board of all boats with high vibrations isolation requirements. It has to be placed between the gearbox and the propeller shaft. It's compact and radially dismountable. The N type is suitable for all applications where there is no thrust load. Higher deflections are permissible.

PROPFLEX S Coupling
PROPFLEX S Coupling is designed to be installed on board of all boats with high vibrations isolation requirements. It has to be placed between the gearbox and the propeller shaft. It's compact and radially dismountable. The S Type is particularly suitable for applications where a propeller induced thrust-load is present. This force is directly transmitted through the coupling to the gearbox's thurst bearing.

  • Rigidly and A/V-mounted gearboxes
  • Luxury motor yacht main propulsion systems










Composite-Shaft
VULKAN Composite Shafts are especially suited for drive systems requiring a low mass for large distances between shaft bearings.

  • drive trains requiring torsional tuning
