Personal data
The protection of your private affairs, and the security of your data, is very important to VULKAN. The following information is therefore designed to give your an overview of the steps we have taken to protect your privacy if you provide us with personal data. It goes without saying that we observe the data protection legislation. In addition, however, the following information constitutes an undertaking on our part to deal with your personal data in a responsible manner.
You can visit our website without telling us who you are. If you access the VULKAN website, certain information of a general nature will be recorded automatically. Such information includes, for example, the name of your Internet Service Provider, the website from which you accessed us, and the date and duration of your visit. None of this information allows any conclusions to be drawn regarding you as an individual. Recording such information is not a specific function of the VULKAN website: such data are also generated when visiting other websites. Information of this kind is only recorded anonymously, and is only evaluated for statistical purposes.

Personal data is only recorded if you freely provide us with such data, for example in order to execute a contract, respond to a questionnaire or register to avail of personalised services. In order to prevent misuse by third parties, such data are transmitted in a coded form. We use this data in order to market VULKAN, and in order to recruit, question and inform potential customers. As well as the data provided by you, we utilise information deriving from the manner in which you use our offers: this enables us to guide you as quickly as possible to the information you may require, and to continually optimise our offers.
Your data will be stored and processed within the Federal Republic of Germany.
If your Declaration of Permission in respect of the purposes mentioned above also includes the transfer of your data to other companies in the VULKAN group or other third parties mentioned in the Declaration of Permission, your data may be transferred to these parties. However, this will only happen if the recipient has provided VULKAN with an undertaking that s/he will observe the applicable statutory data protection provisions. In the absence of such an undertaking, your data will not be passed on. We will neither sell, nor otherwise market, your personal data to other third parties.
You may, at any time, send us a written request to know what data is held by us. If, despite our best efforts, incorrect information should be stored, we will correct such information at your request. You also have the right to demand that your data be blocked or deleted. In exceptional cases, certain laws may prohibit deletion; this is especially the case with regard to data held for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.
With regard to the area of personalised services, you can change your user account in the "Edit profile" section of the user registration.
You may revoke your permission, with effect from the date of revocation, at any time.
VULKAN will take technical and organisation steps to ensure the security of your personal data. Your data will be conscientiously protected against loss, damage, forgery, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our security measures are being continuously improved and adapted to reflect technical progress.

Storage of connection data
When you visit its website, VULKAN will also store your connection data (such as your IP address). We will only process or use such data after termination of the connection if the data is required to establish further connections, for example for accounting purposes, to track faults in our telecommunications system or to track misuse of our telecommunications services.
